Event Location: ALS Headquarters
On Wednesday June 12th at 10am we will be having the second Tech Training class, "Basic PC Maintenance."
This class will cover procedures used to keep a PC operating system and basic applications (Flash, browsers, etc.) up-to-date, including pre-emptive maintenance such as defragmenting and system check, clearing temporary files, driver and BIOS updates, etc. Note that these procedures are primarily for use with non-Deepfreeze staff computers, although performing them prior to a freeze is also recommended.
Yummy donuts and coffee/tea/juice is available beginning at 9:30am and the class starts promptly at 10am, to run about 90-120 minutes. There are 10 seats, with 5 Windows 7 and 5 Windows XP computers; although Windows 7 will be used for the demonstrations, XP is similar in most cases.
If you would like to attend email me with your name and your library's name. firstname.lastname@example.org
