Ancestry.com Along

offers database searching of over one billion names for ancestor
information. Many search results, like those from the popular Social
Security Death Index, can be viewed for a fee; others are available for
a subscription fee.
Duluth Public Library Index
to the Duluth News Tribune () This index contains names and dates of
obituaries printed in the Duluth News Tribune and Duluth Herald
newspapers from 1962 to the present.
Family Search Internet Genealogy Service This
is the extremely popular Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day
Saints (LDS) genealogy Website. Search databases for infomation on
ancestors, learn basic steps in genealogy, access research help (forms,
maps, guides), link to genealogy websites.
Iron Range Research Center This
library and archival facility located at the Ironworld Discover Center
in Chisholm, Minnesota, focuses on the regional, local, and personal
history of Minnesota's iron ranges and the people who settled in the
area. The Research Center serves students, scholars, local historical
societies, the media, as well as, genealogists.
RootsWeb.com Proclaiming
itself "the oldest and largest free genealogy website," RootsWeb's aim
is to connect people for sharing research and mutual help. Genealogists
can search and submit information to databases, browse and post to

resources, build websites. The "Other Tools and Resources" category
provides a "Soundex Converter" link for automatic surname translation
in the code for Soundex index to the Federal census.
