Groups or Associations

Special Kinds of Questions: Associations, Groups, and Foundations

Information on associations, clubs, foundations, unions, publishers and other organizations can be found using many of the same tools. You will need to look at each resource to see how it is arranged. Some are arranged by the name of the organization, but some are listed by the major subject interest of the group.

Patrons often ask for addresses of groups, or need the names of groups that exist with interests in a particular subject area.

Private or for-profit groups are sometimes listed in different reference books than charitable, non-profit or government agencies, but in some sources all of these are listed together.
