Certification Task Force

After broad exploration of certification options, this task force was charged in 1994, by the Advisory Council to Library Development and Services, to design, develop and monitor a pilot voluntary certification program for public library workers. The task force focuses on development of the structure and funding for the program, identification of competencies and outline of the curriculum for providers to use to plan learning opportunities, and evaluation of the program. Task force members currently work on special projects.
